Project Overview

A regulated enterprise required end-to-end support and maintenance for its Quality Applications ecosystem, with a focus on application implementation, configuration, validation, testing, data migration, and ongoing support.

The engagement also involved streamlining manual Quality Assurance (QA) processes, supporting site decommissioning activities, migrating and validating data, and ensuring applications remained compliant with applicable regulatory and quality requirements.

Project Context

The engagement covered:

  • End-to-end Quality Applications implementation, configuration, maintenance, testing, and production support.
  • Streamlining manual QA processes across enterprise applications, including ERP, asset management, and Quality systems.
  • Test case creation, documentation, execution, and management.
  • Planning and execution of application decommissioning activities associated with facility/site closures.
  • Data extraction, migration, reconciliation, and validation for decommissioned environments.
  • Version upgrade and validation of document management/integration solutions.
  • Preparation, review, and approval support for CAPA and Deviation documentation.
  • Risk assessment activities aligned with regulated validation processes.
  • Authoring, reviewing, and obtaining approval for Functional Requirements and User Requirements.
  • Preparation and review of Validation Plans.
  • Development of test strategies, test plans, and IQ/OQ/PQ validation scripts.
  • Supporting Computer System Validation (CSV) activities in a regulated environment.

Our team provided end-to-end Quality Applications support spanning application maintenance, validation, testing, data management, compliance documentation, and project execution.

Quality Applications Support

  • Provided ongoing maintenance and support for Quality Applications across the application lifecycle.
  • Supported application configuration, implementation, enhancements, bug fixes, release testing, and production deployment.
  • Investigated and resolved application-related issues while maintaining systems in a validated state.
  • Supported functional and regression testing for new releases and enhancements.

Data Extraction & Validation

  • Performed bulk document and data extraction from enterprise databases using specialized tools.
  • Developed Python-based scripts to automate data validation and reconciliation activities.
  • Performed extracted data verification against defined business and quality requirements.
  • Supported data migration activities associated with application and site decommissioning.

Decommissioning & Migration

  • Developed comprehensive project plans for the decommissioning of Quality Applications associated with business/site transitions.
  • Coordinated application decommissioning, data extraction, migration, validation, and documentation activities.
  • Supported data retention and validation activities in accordance with applicable regulatory and organizational requirements.
  • Helped ensure controlled transition from legacy environments while maintaining data integrity and traceability.

Computer System Validation (CSV)

  • Supported CSV activities throughout the application lifecycle.
  • Prepared, reviewed, and maintained validation documentation.
  • Performed risk assessments and supported the preparation of Functional and User Requirements.
  • Authored and reviewed Validation Plans.
  • Developed test strategies, test plans, and IQ/OQ/PQ scripts.
  • Supported test execution, evidence collection, review, and approval workflows.
  • Maintained appropriate documentation and traceability for regulated applications.

CAPA & Deviation Support

  • Prepared and supported review of CAPA and Deviation documentation.
  • Assisted with documentation, assessment, review, and approval activities.
  • Ensured quality documentation was maintained in accordance with applicable procedures and regulatory expectations.

Reporting & Process Improvement

  • Developed comprehensive reporting and dashboard capabilities using graphical visualizations.
  • Improved visibility into application support, validation, testing, and project activities.
